Human interactions allow us to come out of our shells, to break the ice, to talk. Gelotology, the study of laughter, has proven the positive effects laughter has on our health, the mind, the body and also our social behaviour. The film protagonists, the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu, also attest to this theory. That is why, after the screening of the film “Mission: Joy. Finding Happiness in Troubled Times”, we will use laughter yoga in an attempt to awaken our inner joy. This method, practised in more than 70 countries, brings great results in developing a sense of inner happiness.
You don't need to bring anything other than comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Neither do you need to be in a good mood or able to laugh easily – it can all be learned or awakened. All you will have to do is to, for a moment, let go of control and allow yourself to experience a world where even a little thing can be a cause for great joy.
In addition to a short story about laughter, the meeting will feature a series of laughter exercises and a short relaxation.
