Dancing helps regain fitness and fight stress. It also stimulates the release of endorphins – the happiness hormones, which are secreted regardless of age. That is why this year, Millennium Docs Against Gravity Gdynia opens its dance floor to seniors, inviting them to take part in a dance class led by a professional instructor.
Monika Grzelak – choreographer, dancer, teacher, instructor. Vice World Champion and Polish Champion in salsa, II Polish Vice-Champion in Latin American dances for professional couples. Thanks to her versatile dance career and, more recently, her choreography work and performance on the first Polish dance film Kochaj i Tańcz, Monika is widely recognised by thousands of dancers and dance aficionados. She is a choreographer for the You Can Dance show in Poland and Ukraine, collaborates with theatres, conducts numerous workshops, and participates in national and international festivals.
