Astrid Bussink graduated with the worldwide award-winning documentary The Angelmakers (2006). She directed several children’s documentaries such as Wool Fever, The Hideout (Golden Calf 2013), LISTEN (winner IDFA 2017) and Giovanni en het waterballet. This last one was awarded many prizes internationally, amongst which IDFA, Berlinale and Full Frame.
She worked as commissioning editor for VPRO and is a tutor at the Dutch Filmacademy.
