In this block of films, we explore the world of animals from two different perspectives: one of a shelter dog and one of a girl-hunter. What can we learn from the animals? The films will be the basis for discussions on how to help shelter animals, and why it is better to adopt them instead of buying.

Pinki

A four-year-old dog called Pink is big, energetic and never left his kennel. The shelter is a place where he feels safe. One day volunteers, worried that Pinki is not being noticed, set up a Facebook page for him and start looking for a permanent carer for the dog.

We are observers of everyday life in the shelter, watching Pinki preparing for his future dream home, as he passes the "cat test", visits the vet and practices going for a walk.

On the day when Pinki almost loses his hope, somebody appears and asks for him. „Pinki” is a touching story about the shelter community.

Buck Fever

Film is presented at the festival without english subtitles.

Hunting is part of everyday life for eight-year-old cheerleader Emily Fletcher and her family living in rural Texas. The stuffed heads of deer and wild boar decorate the walls of their home, along with the many crosses. The only member of the family who doesn’t have their own hunting trophy on the wall is Emily. She’s determined to correct that situation, but is also dreading it. Will she be able to overcome her fears?
