Andreas Koefoed has been directing documentaries since 2001, focusing on universal stories of human existence. He graduated in documentary film directing from the Danish National Film School in 2009 and in sociology from Copenhagen University in 2004, where he also studied anthropology and political science. His films have won awards at numerous festivals including Tribeca, Silverdocs, Full Frame, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Nordisk Panorama and CPH:DOX. His last six films have been selected for IDFA, and four of them have been nominated for best film in their category. We have already shown numerous of his films at MDAG: ‘Ballroom Dancer’ (2011), ‘The Ghost of Piramida’ (2013), ‘The Arms Drop’ (2015) and ‘At Home in the World’ (2016).
