British director and writer. After making several short films, she won an Oscar® for Best Short Film for 'Wasp' in 2005. Just a year later, her first feature film ‘Red Road’ won the Jury Prize at Cannes and the BAFTA Carl Foreman Award. Her next film ‘Fish Tank’ starred Michael Fassbender and Katie Jarvis. It also won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, and the 2010 BAFTA Award for Best British Film. Her latest feature film ‘American Honey’ was shot in the US, starring Shia LaBeouf and Sasha Lane. For it, Arnold won her third Jury Prize at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Andrea directed the second season of ‘Big Little Lies’ for HBO in 2018-19. 'Cow' is her latest documentary work.
