Documentary films provide the young audience with a useful window on the world. They evoke feelings of surprise and agitation, sometimes creating discord. The OKI DOKI Documentary Academy aims to address these reactions and allow the emotions to surface so that the film screening can serve as a lesson in empathy and tolerance and broaden the children's understanding of themselves and the world. In the film Water, Wind, Dust, Bread we will get to know children from Iran, their customs, joys and worries. After the screening, we will meet with Farnaz Ghasemi, who will talk about her country – formerly known as Persia – and answer any questions our viewers may have. This is what she says: This is Farnaz from Tehran, Iran. I have lived in Wrocław for five years and love this city for its beautiful streets and amazing people. I mainly work as a language teacher in different schools and with adult or younger students. After watching ‘Ab, Khak, Nan’ together we will learn the greetings in Persian language and we will learn what people usually eat and how the cuisine looks like. I will be very happy to answer to all the questions and open a window to a world that is less talked about in Poland.
