Screening of the film ANGELS OF SINJAR followed by a meeting with director Hanna Polak
The story of Hanifa and Saeed who survived an ISIS attack on the Yezidi is an exposé of a terrible crime against humanity and a heartbreaking cry for justice.
Following the screening, we will meet with director Hanna Polak. Originally from Katowice, the Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-nominated filmmaker (The Children of Leningradsky) daringly deals with difficult subjects, giving her protagonists a voice and drawing attention to issues we often look away from.
