OKI DOKI: Animals. Screening and workshop for children
Age: 10+
BUCK FEVER - dir. Griet Goelen, Louise Van Assche
Hunting is part of everyday life for eight-year-old cheerleader Emily Fletcher and her family living in rural Texas. Will she be able to overcome her fears?
PINKI - dir. Ewa Martynkien, Wojciech Szczupak
One day, volunteers in a shelter, worried that a dog named Pinki is not being noticed, set up a Facebook page for him and start looking for a permanent carer for the dog. Not only do we get to know the dog protagonist and his endearing personality, but we also learn more about our relationship with animals.
After the screening, we invite young viewers to a meeting with dog behaviourists. We will learn how to talk to a dog, whether we can only communicate with animals vocally, and how to gain their trust. We will also talk about animals’ key role in our social lives.
