Opening Gala of the Silesian Edition of the 19th Millennium Docs Against Gravity, screening of the film The Pawnshop followed by a meeting with the filmmakers
The Silesian edition of the festival will be inaugurated by Ewa Sadkowska, the director of the Silesia Film Institution. Following the screening of the film The Pawnshop (2022) directed by Łukasz Kowalski, a meeting with the director and the protagonists of the film will take place. The guests will talk about the making of the documentary that tells the story of a pawnshop in Bytom, where the everyday life of the local community intertwines with the magic realism of Silesian backyards to create a warm, humorous and wise story about the things we most need in life.
The film The Pawnshop was co-financed by the Silesian Film Fund.
