Susan Sontag: WAITING FOR GODOT... IN SARAJEVO, A PRIMER FOR PINA with an introduction by Adrian Chorębała
Who was Susan Sontag? What was her perception of the visual arts, including cinema, and what did she think about war...? Two films, co-directed by the outstanding essayist, offer two thematically diverse images, linked by the figure of Sontag herself, appearing on both sides of the camera, and the question about the role of art in the contemporary world.
Before the screening, Adrian Chorębała – the manager of the Rondo Sztuki gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, a curator who works with visual images on a daily basis and a great fan of Sontag himself – will talk about the American artist and her work.
