We invite you to a special screening of the first feature documentary about the legendary pantomime artist Marcel Marceau. He inspires several generations of artists: from the famous Swiss clown Dimitri, through David Bowie and Kate Bush, to our guest Bartłomiej Ostapczuk, for whom the film's protagonist was not only a great artist but also a close friend. We will talk about the difficult art of silence. We will talk about the difficult art of silence and reflect on what it takes to become a mime artist and why now is a good time to appreciate the value of this theatrical form.
Bartłomiej Ostapczuk – mime artist, director of mime theatre performances, choreographer, teacher. He is the artistic director of the International Mime Art Festival in Warsaw as well as the founder and creator of the Warsaw Mime Centre and the Mimo Mime Theatre. Since 2005, he has been running the Mime Studio in Warsaw. He has been a guest teacher in theatre schools in Poland and abroad. From 1998 to 2001, he was an actor of the Warsaw Mime Theatre and the Mime Studio. He studied theatrical art in Poland, USA and Spain. He has performed in Japan, Puerto Rico, USA, England, Germany, China, Lithuania, Russia, France, Poland, Israel, South Korea, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, New Zealand, Portugal, Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway.
