Aleksander Szamałek was born in Otwock. He is a student of Film Production at the Katowice Film School. His interest in photography, which was already born in elementary school, quickly turned into a passion for film. He spent two years in Paris, where he studied Theory of Film Art and Theatre at the University of Paris Nanterre X. After returning to Poland, he enrolled at his current university and returned to France to make a documentary, the subject of which began to clarify already during his studies abroad.
